The Agreement is part of the implementation of Tawtheeq System for Registration of Properties and Tenancy Contracts.
Abu Dhabi 26 September 2011: As part of its continuous endeavours to foster the optimal implementation of Tawtheeq project, the Municipality of Abu Dhabi City has recently signed a cooperation agreement with the First Gulf Properties; a subsidiary of the First Gulf Bank considered one of the leading companies specialized in providing integrated property services and solutions in the UAE. This co-operation agreement is intended to work out an effective mechanism enabling both parties to achieve the objectives of the project, which include the registering all leasable properties and standardizing tenancy contracts templates in accordance with Tawtheeq e-system in order to safeguard the rights of all parties involved in the tenancy process, and contribute to the development of the real estate market.
The move comes in implementation of the Decision of the Chairman of the Executive Council No. (4) for 2011 regarding the rules and procedures of registering tenancy contracts in the Emirate, which underscores the importance of coordination between all concerned entities as regards the implementation of the provisions of the Decision and the need to establish a link with the tenancy contracts e-registration system. It also reflects the keenness of the Municipality of Abu Dhabi City to build an integrated and effective relationship between government and private sectors to provide highly efficient services to customers through the electronic link within the respective work scope of each party and in conformity with the laws and regulations applicable in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
As to training on the use of Tawtheeq system, the Municipality is offering courses to train the concerned staff at the First Gulf Properties on how to handle the system along with a detailed elaboration of the procedures and mechanisms of the project enabling them to run the system smoothly.
Jasim Al Ali, Chief Executive of the First Gulf Properties said, "We are excited to sign this agreement with the Municipality of Abu Dhabi City as it echoes the strategy of the First Gulf Properties that hinges on promoting cooperation with various government institutions and entities with a view to modernizing and upgrading the real estate market in the country. Joining Tawtheeq System reflects the First Gulf Properties' standing commitment to render top quality real estate services & solutions to customers as this Project is viewed as one of the most important steps to streamline and develop the real estate market in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi," added Al Ali.
Ali Al Hashimi, Manager of Tawtheeq Project at the Municipality of Abu Dhabi City, was upbeat and delighted with that effective step which was a strong indicator of the positive interaction between the public and private sectors and would pave the way for realizing the objectives of the project. He stressed the importance of enhancing cooperation with property management companies, being a key partner in the success and effective and optimal management of the project in a way that would enable them avail the benefits of the system, including the provision of the required tools using state-of-the-art technologies assisting optimal management of their own properties at no cost; a step which would also develop and streamline the real estate market.
"Pursuant to this agreement, the two parties will cooperate under the general framework of their respective responsibilities and administrative & procedural principles to work out detailed & specific programs & work plans to achieve the desired results, and define the respective roles, responsibilities and processes adopted by each party to realize the goals of the project. It also allows for discussing initiatives and programs made by either party to achieve the best possible results to facilitate the entry and registration of property details in the system. Under this agreement, both parties will collaborate in taking appropriate actions, coordinating efforts and establishing points of contact by setting up a joint work team to enhance the running of Tawtheeq e-system under the ultimate aim of improving customers service experience within the two parties," concluded Al Hashimi.
